On Sabbatical Side Projects
Here’s a little update on what I’ve been doing when not in the midst of prayer and foot care.

Santiago de Compostela or “It’s Just a Rest Stop, Really.”
As I hobble into Santiago, there’s peace to be had in the midst of tour busses and bodily aches.
Arzúa & O Pedrouzo or “Those Crosses Aren’t Just For Show, Kid”
The eve of the hike into Santiago brings both fatigue and anticipation.

Palas de Rei or “Coups de Foot”
Just a few rambles today, mostly complaining about my feet.
Sarria & Portomarín or “The Roads are Paved with ... Wait, Is That...?”
You know the old saying. “When roads give you animal dung, you make a blog post out of it.”

Mansilla de las Mulas or “The Full Camino”
In a bit of a catch-up post, I let you in on the events that brought fear into my Camino as well as the road ahead.

Bercianos del Real Camino or “The Cat Wants Your Orange Juice”
Did you know I have a bathroom rating system? I do. Will the albergues and cafe-bar combos measure up to the scrutiny?

Carrión y Terradillos or “At Least the Templars Had Horses”
Templars and Tendons and Nuns and Germans!

Frómista or “Que(so)?”
Getting a point across doesn’t always mean speaking the same language.

Castrojeriz or “Which Way to The Way?”
When the arrows point in different directions, it’s possible to take both.

Hornillos del Camino or “Guess We’re Coming To Dinner”
Not all arrows on the Camino de Santiago are the little yellow ones. Sometimes, there are even smaller, almost invisible ones that point the way to heaven.

This Camino Isn’t Just “Mine.” It’s Ours More Than Ever.
A few thoughts on the Church from a pilgrim priest presently limping to Santiago de Compostela.

Logroño or “The Agony of Your Feet”
Hobbling into Logroño could yield a few schedule changes for in-depth foot care. Here’s an update!

Los Arcos or “The Saints Make the Canons Go Boom.”
When the canons fire, you know something’s about to happen. But what, exactly?

The Climb: Not Just a Spiritual Metaphor!
The biblical imagery of climbing and heights of mountains become incredibly real on the Camino de Santiago. But am I up for the challenge?

Pamplona and “My Camino”
Fr. Chris gives an overview of the Camino de Santiago as well as some of his hopes for the journey.
